Have you had your skin check yet?
Due the high levels of UV radiation in Australia, skin cancer rates are highest here than in any other country in the world.Melanoma is the third most common cancer diagnosed in Australian men and women.
Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers is essential.
Please make an appointment with one of our doctors for a full skin examination if you:
- have a personal or family history of melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancers;
- have multiple naevi;
- notice a new or existing lesion that is increasing in size, changing in colour, or behaving in any way that is suspicious of skin cancer.
Minor procedures, such as biopsies and excisions, are performed in our accredited day theatre room under local anesthetic and samples are sent to a pathology lab for histological examination.
Our doctors can also assist with other skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and contact dermatitis, to name a few.
