South Yarra Clinic operates on a “mixed billing” policy meaning that all new patients are privately billed for their first consultation. Charges apply for all consultations & services unless you are under 16 years of age or have a valid Commonwealth Pensioner, Concession Card or Commonwealth Seniors card. Our New Patient consultation fees range from $85.00 - $95.00. Medicare card holders are entitled to a rebate where appropriate. Longer consultations will encounter a higher charge; however, the Medicare rebate is also higher. Please note that any specialist services have separate charges. If you would like to know more, please enquire with the service provider your doctor has referred you to.

Appointments are available 7-days a week. Our opening hours are as follows:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • Public Holidays: Closed (Unless otherwise advertised).

Communication & Results: Please note this practice does not discuss results via telephone unless agreed to by your doctor. Any personal or medical information you may wish to relay to your practitioner can be relayed via our practice staff however your doctor may not return your call. Messages can be left for your doctor if required and the doctors will assess each request. Please note that a phone consultation may be required to action these requests. Emails can be forwarded to your doctor for specific requests via reception@southyarraclinic.com.au. These enquiries are filtered by practice staff and forwarded to doctors, where appropriate.

Allied Health and Pathology: Additional charges may occur for services which are arranged by your doctor. Please contact the service directly to confirm the cost for any referred treatment.

Home Visits: Unfortunately, our doctors to not offer home visits.

Recalls & Reminders: South Yarra Clinic uses an SMS reminder and recall system. This includes notifications for results, as well as preventative healthcare and regular testing reminders. You will automatically be included for reminders via SMS however if you wish to opt out, please make reception aware. Our staff will always confirm your information with you when you arrive for your appointment. This is to ensure that your information is up to date, and you will receive any messages from us promptly.

If for any reason you are not happy with our response you can contact the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner.
